„GREEN FEST“: ONE MONTH LEFT TO SUBMIT ENTRIES

All interested parties have still one month left to submit their film entries for screening at the Festival “Green Fest”, within the Environmental Film Program “Green Screen Fest”; best entries will be awarded valuable prizes donated by Samsung, as it has been announced today by the Environmental Improvement Center, the organizer of the Festival. The call for entries expires on 10 October 2012, while the list of selected entries for screening will be available by 5 November 2012 at the official “Green Fest” website (www.greenfest.rs), where also all information about the conditions for entry can be found.
„Urban Ecology and Sustainable development” is the main theme of the call for entries for Amateur Film Program, and it is open for all potential applicants with no age limitations. Applicants may submit their entries only if their film production is absolutely amateur, such as recordings by mobile phone, amateur digital photo or video camera. Within the Amateur Film Program, the Festival awards will be given in three age categories: for applicants up to 18 years, for applicants from 18 to 27 years, and for those over 27 years of age. An individual applicant may submit maximum five entries, while the running time of each film should not exceed 15 minutes.
The Short Film Program is open for all filmmaking professionals whose work is focused on environmental issues and nature. Within this category at the “Green Fest”, the two best entries will be awarded with the Best Short Film and Short Film - 2nd place. An individual applicant may submit maximum three entries, while the running time of each film should not exceed 30 minutes.
The International Festival of Green Culture “Green Fest” will take place in Belgrade’s “Dom Omladine” (“Youth Center”) from November 14 – 16 2012 for the first time under the new name and represents a continuation of the International Environmental Film Festival “Green Screen Fest” that has been successfully organized in 2010 and 2011. In these last two years, more than 130 films from 25 different countries have been screened, 39 workshops and lectures have been held and over 20 green exhibitors and artist have been presented. The Festival is being organized with the support of the City of Belgrade – the Environmental Protection Secretariat, the company Samsung and a large numbers of other partners and friends.
